At Winterberry our highest priority is the health and safety of our community, our patients and our healthcare team. That’s why, effective immediately we will be limiting in-office visits due to the severe contagiousness of the COVID-19 variant, Omicron.

If your symptoms or condition require an in-office visit, we ask for your patience and understanding as we find you an available appointment time.

Where possible, we will offer you virtual medical consultations which give you the same high level of personal attention and allow you to stay safely at home.

At Winterberry Family Medicine helping you live your best life is our priority. Part of that promise is keeping you up-to-date on changes and improvements in the clinic. That is why we are launching our Clinic Status page. It uses a simple Red, Yellow, Green colour code so you know our capacity, phone hold times, appointment availability and our ability to welcome new patients.

  1. RED: Our clinic is at full capacity and we are being challenged by COVID-19 restrictions and additional patient demand. We are working to resolve all issues but want patients to know to expect longer than usual phone hold times, fewer than usual available same day and acute care appointments and to understand we are not accepting new patients at this time. Additionally, at this time we are limiting in-person appointments due to the highly contagious Omicron variant in order to prioritize the health and safety of our community, patients and healthcare team.
  2. YELLOW: Our clinic is near full capacity but operating close to normal in terms of phone hold times and appointment availability. We are not accepting patients.
  3. GREEN: Our clinic is able to offer shorter hold times for phone inquiries and also same day and timely acute care appointments. We are accepting new patients.

  1. When our Clinic is in RED or YELLOW status it’s important to know that registering and using our online Patient Portal will eliminate the need for you to call our office for appointment bookings or changes.
